Things to Know about Papikondalu before Visit…
Many people visit Papikondalu to enjoy peaceful boat rides on the Godavari River. The place is surrounded by green hills and calm waters, making it a great spot to relax in nature.
The name Papikondalu comes from the way the hills look. They appear like the middle parting of a womanโs hair. When you see them while sitting in the boat, it looks unique and different.
The boat ride is the main attraction here. Some people choose one-day tours, while others go for night stays in bamboo huts or tents near places like Kolluru or Perantapalli. These night packages usually include meals, a small campfire, and a peaceful night close to the river.
Along the way, the boat may stop at small places like Perantapalli village, the Pattiseema temple, or even small waterfalls inside the forest. These places show you how quiet and natural life is in these remote areas.
One important thing to remember is boat services may stop during heavy rains or when the river level is too high. So, itโs better to check the weather and service updates before your trip, especially during the rainy season.
Boat rides usually start from Rajahmundry or Polavaram side. Itโs a good idea to book your package in advance with a trusted travel operator to avoid last-minute issues.
A Peaceful Boat Ride Through Papikondalu Hills
I went to Papikondalu last month with my family, and it was a really nice trip. We started from Rajahmundry early in the morning. After reaching the Godavari river, we got on a boat. The boat ride was the main part of the trip, and we all were excited.
The river was wide and the boat moved slowly. On both sides, we could see big hills and lots of trees. It felt peaceful just sitting on the boat and looking around. There was no traffic or noise, just water, hills, and fresh air.
The boat had many people, some with families, some in groups. Everyone was enjoying the ride. We sat on simple chairs and clicked some photos. Lunch was also provided on the boat, which included rice, sambar, and a curry. The food was simple but good.
After some time, the boat stopped at a small village called Perantapalli. We got down, visited a temple, and walked around a bit. It was a quiet place with a few houses. Then we came back to the boat and started the return journey.
On the way back, we just sat and relaxed. The boat moved slowly, and we watched the sunset on the river. That part was really nice.
We reached back by evening. The whole trip took almost one day. There were no big buildings or busy roads, just simple nature. It was a break from daily life, and I felt happy and calm after coming back.
