Do You Know These Special Things About Vadapalli Temple?
It is also called Konaseema Tirupati because it is a very special and holy place like the famous Tirupati temple.
The idol of Lord Venkateswara, also known as Kalyana Venkateswara or Venkanna, is made from sandalwood. Around the temple, there are rows of prayer beads called Govindanamaalu. People believe that if they walk around the temple 11 times for 7 Saturdays in a row, they will get blessings from the Lord. Because of this belief, many people come to the temple every Saturday.
The temple holds a grand Brahmotsavam (ten-day festival) yearly, with vibrant decorations, music, and processions. Important days like Fridays and Ekadashi are also marked with special pujas and more people gather to pray.
Within the temple complex, there are smaller shrines for Sri Bala Balaji (child Vishnu), Goddess Lakshmi, Anjaneya (Hanuman), and Ganesha.
Darshan (temple viewing) usually runs from early morning to afternoon and again in the evening. On Saturdays, timings are extended to welcome larger crowds. Itโs a good idea to check before going during festivals when it can get very crowded.
The temple now offers free annadanam (food) on Saturdays. Any devotee can eat there, and people are welcomed to donate funds or food items to help feed others.
In recent times, the templeโs daily collections have gone up a lot. Devotees are giving more offerings, helping to support daily prayers, temple staff, and needed repairs.
In the Presence of Peace: My Trip to Vadapalli Temple
Last month, I had the chance to visit Vadapalli Venkateswara Swamy Temple with my family. It’s a small but very peaceful temple located near Nidadavole in Andhra Pradesh. I didnโt know much about the place before, but a friend told me itโs a powerful and sacred temple, so we decided to go there on a Saturday.
The journey itself was quite nice. We drove through green fields and quiet villages. As we reached the temple area, I immediately felt calm. There was something about the atmosphere – so quiet, with the sounds of birds and the nearby river. It felt like the kind of place where your mind just naturally slows down.
When we entered the temple, we removed our footwear and washed our feet. I could smell flowers and incense. The temple isnโt huge like Tirupati, but it has its own charm. It feels old and powerful.
The main idol of Lord Venkateswara is beautiful and full of energy. I donโt know how to explain it exactly, but when I looked at the deity, I felt very peaceful, almost like He was listening. We stood in line for darshan, and even though it wasnโt too crowded, everyone waited patiently. The priests gave us teertham and prasadam, and I just stood there for a few minutes, taking it all in.
Outside the temple, there were small stalls selling flowers, bangles, toys, and snacks. We bought a photo of the deity and prasadam to take home. My mother said she felt a deep sense of peace after the visit. I think we all did.
Iโm not a very religious person in the usual sense, but I do believe in energy, in good vibes. And I really felt something pure at Vadapalli. Itโs the kind of place you want to visit again, not because someone told you to, but because your heart tells you to.
If you’re ever in that area, I really recommend visiting. Itโs not just a religious trip. Itโs a soul-refreshing experience.
