6:00 AM – Start at Visakhapatnam Railway Station

7:30 AM – INS Kurusura Submarine Museum (0.5 km, 10 min walk)
Go inside a real Russian-built submarine and see the small bunks, control panels, and diesel engines up close. Find out how 70 crew members lived underwater for weeks during their missions. Entry costs ₹70 for adults and ₹40 for children, with a small fee for photos.
8:30 AM – TU-142 Naval Aircraft Museum (5 km, 15 min by cab)
Climb into a retired Tupolev TU-142 and sit in the cockpit seats. Check out the radar display that was used for over 30,000 hours. Learn about its 29 years of service at sea from easy-to-read panels. Entry costs ₹70 for adults and ₹40 for children, and the ticket includes an audio guide.
10:00 AM – Simhachalam Temple (20 km, 45 min by cab)
Visit the hilltop temple of Lord Varaha Narasimha, located 300 meters above the city. Enjoy the old Dravidian carvings of gods and lions. There is no entry fee—just take off your shoes, walk in quietly, and relax with a peaceful view of Visakhapatnam from the temple steps.
11:30 AM – Lunch at a Local Dhaba (2 km, 10 min by auto)
Sit under a tin roof at a roadside dhaba and order a plate of spicy Andhra biryani or a seafood thali for around ₹150–200. The hot rice and flavorful curries will remind you of home.
12:30 PM – Kailasagiri Park (15 km, 40 min by cab)
Take the ropeway up for a ₹90 round trip and enjoy the breeze as you go above the green hills. At the top, you can rent a skycycle or try the zipline—each costs around ₹350, or both for ₹550—and ride over the treetops with beautiful sea views all around.
3:00 PM – Snack at Kailasagiri Viewpoint Cafe
Relax under colorful umbrellas, enjoy strong filter coffee, and snack on crispy samosas while watching fishing boats float on the blue bay below.
4:00 PM – Return to City Centre (15 km, 40 min by cab)
Sit back and enjoy the ride as your cab takes you down hill roads, offering a final view of palm trees and the coastline. At 5:00 PM, you’ll have free time on MG Road to stroll past small shops and cafés, pick up a postcard, browse local crafts, or simply relax on a bench and watch people walk by.
